Photo. Shot on medium format film. C-type print
Sidris is from Senegel, he's 20, really sweet. He was selling what he said was his art in the Marrakech main square, it was pictures made from butterfly wings of his village back in Senegal. He was with a group of young boys and men, all hustling and selling stuff, the older guys where selling iphones. We would go and speak to them every day we where in marrakech, they were really funny. They'd all travelled together in a car from Senegal to get to Morocco, which seemed pretty full on. They all had great style, very street. I thought Sidris had the look of some cool kid from Peckham or east London. I bought one of his pictures off him for £10 for letting me take his photo. Their lives, where they'd come from and the effort they'd taken to get to Morocco really intrigued me.
